How Blokki adds value to coaching at SisuCoaching

Physiotherapist and coach Anne Korjonen moved her wellbeing coaching from a WhatsApp group to Blokki. Coaching is now easier to manage, and individual weekly reports help Anne keep track of her clients’ overall situations, even in weeks without client meetings.

In a very short time, I can do a lot of visible work for my clients. Each person feels that they have been seen, and I know where things stand.

The coaching programmes usually focus on lifestyle change over six months. Many clients have musculoskeletal pain, which is addressed alongside exercise while they work toward weight loss and better recovery. Blokki is used in these programmes.

The challenge: the coaching journey depended on the coach’s memory

Before Blokki, Anne did not have a dedicated platform for coaching. Communication, materials and workout programmes were shared with clients through a WhatsApp group. The coaching journey was effectively built into Anne’s calendar: every week, she had to remember what to share next and where the group was in the programme. The plan did not always follow the same pattern, and the coaching could drift off course.

It took a lot of time to share all the materials with clients again and again, and to work out where we were in the programme.

The solution: one clear platform for the whole coaching journey

Anne had long felt that a platform would add quality to her coaching. When she heard about Blokki, switching felt easy and logical. She was familiar with physiotherapy apps, but those were designed for sharing individual exercises. For coaching, she needed a more comprehensive tool.

  • Workout programmes in one place: programmes are created on the platform, and the coaching journey progresses logically.
  • A clear overview of clients: AI quickly summarizes client check-ins, including in weeks when the group does not meet.
  • Everything in one app: training, a food diary, and recovery and sleep data from a watch or a phone’s health apps.

At first, Anne wondered how high-quality and logical AI-generated programmes would be, and how they would account for issues such as pain. Her experience has been positive: the programmes make sense, and a professional can quickly fine-tune them before sharing them with a client.

Getting started went smoothly. Anne first tested the platform herself and then opened it to 11 clients. She expected a flood of questions, but there were none: everyone downloaded and started using the app. Clients have also been active in logging how they feel and what they eat, which was a positive surprise.

The results: less to remember, more visible work

Anne’s week now has a clear rhythm. On Tuesday mornings, she reviews the group’s situation and sends each person a weekly report. This helps her give every client individual attention, even when the group does not meet that week.

With Blokki

AI suggests a framework that the coach turns into an individual programme.

The accuracy of the weekly reports has been a positive surprise. AI picks up details clients write in their own words, such as pain, how they feel and upcoming holidays. Anne no longer has to review everyone’s answers separately.

Blokki has picked up what clients share in the reports surprisingly well. I quickly know if someone is going on holiday next week or if something happened last week that affects their coaching.

— Anne Korjonen

The benefit is not only time saved. Anne feels there is less mental load, with a “background brain” continuously helping her see the bigger picture. Setup naturally takes some time at first, but in the long run she expects the time savings to grow with the number of clients. Her clients have also been happy and positive about the client app.

AI builds the framework; the coach makes the decisions

Anne especially values how AI can create a framework for bigger goals.

If a client wants to ski 50 kilometres in March and I’m thinking about how to build the training towards that, I appreciate Blokki mapping out a framework. It makes the process faster and clearer.

— Anne Korjonen

Once the framework is in place, Anne adapts the training to the client’s needs, goals and challenges. She wants to review programmes herself before they reach the client. Blokki creates the framework, while a professional in wellbeing and exercise reviews the whole and the details with the client’s needs in mind.

Next, Anne plans to build a ready-made coaching journey in Blokki for a group starting at the beginning of the year, bringing clear steps to the programme and reducing background work. She is also looking forward to further development of the food diary, as eating and weight management are central topics for her clients.

Would Anne recommend Blokki to other coaches? “Yes, absolutely.” In her view, the platform works for many kinds of coaching.

I feel really positive about it. Blokki is boldly doing something a little different, with a really good attitude, and that comes across.
